Basic Administration Commands

Mount root filesystem read-write / read-only

After start-up, MuBox mounts root filesystem as read-only. This is to avoid frequently writes to file system that wears out flash cards. If you need to change the configuration files, you need to enable read-write first:

# remountrw

After you made changes, you can mount back to read-only by:

# remountro

Add a new software package:

Voyage MuBox is derived from Debian so that you have full access of Debian's pacakge repository. To add new software package:

# remountrw
# apt-get update
# apt-get install <package name>

You can search for Debian packages under http://packages.debian.org.

To upgrade packages

To upgrade existing packages to latest version or security patches, run:

# remountrw
# apt-get update
# apt-get upgrade

# reboot

It is also recommended to gracefully shutdown MuBox, type command:

# halt

                      Kirkwood SPDIF
 1 [Audio ]: USB-Audio - exD USB-DSD Audio
exD exD USB-DSD Audio at usb-orion-ehci.0-1, high speed

or

# aplay -l
