Updating Kernel

From time to time, we would release some testing kernels prepared for next release. Most kernels are packaged in .tar.xz. You can find the following directory for the kernels we prepared.

To update Raspberry Pi to latest kernel, please run "rpi-update" command.
To update kernel for old CuBox, please follow this instruction.

Follow the below instruction to download and install the kernel:
Warning: You cannot mix the kernel for other board. You board will no longer be bootable if you use the kernel for another board. Please understand what you are doing before you proceed.

remountrw
cd
wget http://mirror.voyage.hk/download/voyage-mubox/[board]/[kernel version].tar.xz
tar -Jxf [kernel version].tar.xz -C /
sync

For example, to install 3.16.6~fc20 kernel for CuBox-i

remountrw
cd
wget http://mirror.voyage.hk/download/voyage-mubox/cubox-i/kernel-cubox-i-3.16.6~fc20+.tar.xz
tar -Jxf kernel-cubox-i-3.16.6~fc20+.tar.xz -C /
sync

At last, reboot the board by typing "reboot" command.

Please note that most kernels are in under testing, some minor problems or compatibility issues would be expected.
